      TVO ILC is the Ontario Ministry of Education’s designated partner in distance education. We offer a full range of accredited online courses from grades 9-12. Learn when and where you want, with Ontario Certified Teachers (OCTs) and guidance counsellors supporting you along the way.

      TVO ILC Story

      TVO ILC is the chosen distance learning partner of the Ontario Ministry of Education, and the largest online high school in the province. TVO ILC is managed by TVO, the provincial educational communications authority.  In operation for more than 90 years, TVO ILC made the transition to an online presence in 2002. Using the latest software and internet-based delivery techniques, students from across Canada and around the world can now access our entire curriculum and team of educators with the click of a mouse. In 2007, TVO ILC won the Canadian New Media Award for Excellence in Education.

      ILC’s semester-free calendar means you can enroll in a course any time of the year. There are no set classes, so you can study anytime and anywhere. And you have up to 10 months to complete each course. Funded by the Ontario government, ILC has been in operation since 1926. An Ontario Certified Teacher will guide your learning and grade your assignments, helping to ensure that you receive the best online education experience possible.
